Man Utd’s Jadon Sancho and Erik Ten Hag Saga continues

Jadon Sancho has deleted his recent social media post, in which he voiced his disagreement with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag’s decision. This incident unfolded during the season’s inaugural international break when Sancho was left out of the matchday squad for the Arsenal game due to what Ten Hag described as lackluster training performances by the forward.

In response to Ten Hag’s decision, the 23-year-old Sancho posted a message on X (formerly Twitter), which has since been removed. Ten Hag appeared to stand by his initial comments, and the former Borussia Dortmund player was scheduled for a meeting with the manager at Carrington on Monday to discuss his future with the club.

Ten Hag is anticipated to address this incident publicly during his upcoming pre-match press conference. Manchester United is set to resume their season against Brighton on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm, and the Dutch manager is scheduled to speak 24 hours before the match.

When explaining Sancho’s omission from the Arsenal match, Ten Hag stated, “Jadon was not selected based on his training performance. We didn’t include him. At Manchester United, you have to consistently perform at a high level, and we make choices for the frontline accordingly. Thus, he wasn’t chosen for this game.”

However, Jadon Sancho disagreed with Ten Hag’s assessment. In a brief response on X, he remarked, “Please don’t believe everything you read. I will not tolerate untrue statements. I have performed well in training this week. I believe there are other factors at play in this matter, which I won’t delve into. I’ve felt like a scapegoat for a long time, which isn’t fair! My sole desire is to play football with joy and contribute to the team.”

“I respect all decisions made by the coaching staff. I am privileged to play alongside fantastic teammates, and I am grateful for the opportunity. I understand that every week is a challenge, and I will continue to give my all for this club!”

Before the Arsenal match, Jadon Sancho had made appearances against Wolves, Tottenham, and Nottingham Forest, amassing a total of 76 minutes on the field as a substitute, without registering any goals or assists. This current outburst have left United fans and football faithfuls worried about the future of the Sancho at the club and it’s coming at a period when United are facing several issues on and off the pitch.
